Vanessa Ratard

Senior Project manager

Vanessa is a chartered engineer and chartered environmentalist with extensive experience in project management. During her 17 years in industry, she has managed numerous projects in remote areas including Peru, Mauritania, Turkey, India and New Caledonia.

Vanessa’s past experience and capabilities include roles as an Environmental Manager in the UK developing and overseeing Environmental Management Systems;  structural engineering in the fields of trenchless technology, sewer rehabilitation design, reservoir earthquake vulnerability analysis and design for mine power plants; and various project management, engineering and cost engineering roles in the mining sector.

Vanessa joined Ekistica in 2015 and as one of our Senior Project Managers, provides high quality, independent, innovative advisory, engineering design and project delivery services to a wide range of public and private sector clients across a broader range of infrastructure and technology projects. This includes work with private investors providing technical advice with respect to utility scale wind farm investment opportunities, specialist procurement and construction support for WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) projects in the Pacific and project management services for a variety of small to large infrastructure projects in remote and regional Australia.

Vanessa excels in understanding the complexity inherent in developing infrastructure in remote and regional areas, and in finding pathways through that complexity to identify the most appropriate technical and project delivery solutions.
