Remote Communities Engagement
In remote areas, we understand that context is everything: it defines the relationship of technical solutions to people and place. Ekistica, since our founding following the Bushlight programme which delivered renewable energy systems to over 180 Indigenous communities across Central and Northern Australia, has held that an awareness and understanding of context and genuine consultation allows us to find a pathway through complexity. From housing, water and power upgrades, masterplan developments for remote community sports facilities, and key community infrastructure such as Business Centres, Sporting and Recreational Water Facilities to Sacred Objects Keeping Places, we have extensive experience in listening, understanding and translating user aspirations and requirements into solutions that effectively address these within the local environmental, social and cultural context.
