Marteena has worked in remote area service delivery for close to ten years across all aspects of programme design, delivery and evaluation, Marteena specialises in remote area energy service delivery and is an expert in prepayment Meters and energy efficiency in Indigenous communities.  

Marteena’s work experience includes management roles in large, commonwealth-funded service delivery programmes focusing on power system planning and delivery, and energy education and demand management in remote Indigenous communities across the Northern Territory, in APY Lands of South Australia, the Kimberley, the Torres Strait, Northern Peninsula Area and Gulf Country of Queensland; as well as consultant roles providing expert advice to power utilities on household energy use and energy equity in regional Australia. 

With Ekistica, Marteena provides expert advice on all matters relating to energy policy and project design, as well as project delivery services, to clients that include utilities, community service organisations, government agencies and reference groups.

Marteena has a deep understanding of energy policy issues, particularly in the remote Indigenous context, and is a firm believer in the importance of taking the time and effort to uncover the stories behind an issue; translating the stories of people and place to best inform the end technical solution.
